{"id":1520,"date":"2014-05-22T17:17:02","date_gmt":"2014-05-22T16:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.inmesol.com\/blog\/?p=1520"},"modified":"2023-06-21T10:18:04","modified_gmt":"2023-06-21T10:18:04","slug":"team-wins-bronze-silver-spanish-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inmesol.com\/fr\/blog\/team-wins-bronze-silver-spanish-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Team Wins the Bronze and the Silver in the Spanish Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"entradilla\">\n<h2 class=\"bullet\">The T\u00e1ndemMurcia team overcame the technical difficulties with their bike during the time trial<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Clemente <\/strong>and<strong> Ismael S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> \u2013 the two members of <strong>TandemMurcia<\/strong>, the para-cycling team we sponsor\u00a0 \u2013 have returned from the <strong>Spanish Para-Cycling Road Championships <\/strong>with a new medal, despite the <strong>technical setbacks<\/strong> they suffered during their participation in the tandem time trial. The technical problems almost forced them to abandon the first race, which took place on Saturday, 18<sup>th<\/sup> May, on a course with steep roads and strong winds, and during which their gear shift cable snapped. Ismael\u2019s quick reaction, tying the cable to the handlebar, enabled them to finish the trial using only the front derailleur and winning them the bronze medal.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2448\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2448\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2448 \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/team-wins-bronze-silver-spanish-championships.jpg\" alt=\"Photograph: RFEC (Spanish Royal Cycling Federation).\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" title=\"\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2448\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photograph: RFEC (Spanish Royal Cycling Federation).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As soon as they finished the unlucky race, they had to repair the bicycle against the clock to make it to the <strong>road race<\/strong> which awaited them the following day. After a tight final sprint against the local Castile-Leon team, T\u00e1ndemMurcia crossed the finish line in <strong>second position<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Going for the World Cup<\/h3>\n<p>The result obtained at the Spanish Championship has motivated TandemMurcia even more following their participation in the <strong>Para-Cycling World Championships<\/strong> held in Mexico a month ago. Their English and Australian rivals made the race very difficult for them and the result, although good, was unexpected: Miguel \u00c1ngel Clemente and Pedro Jos\u00e9 Vera came fifth in the <strong>individual pursuit <\/strong>test and<strong> fourth<\/strong> in the<strong> kilometre time trial with a standing start<\/strong>.
