Electrical Fitter’s Dream’
About 2 years ago an article on aluminium was published in our blog: Inmesol Solves the Problem of Incompatibility between Copper and Aluminium. On that article we compared the characteristics of copper and aluminium conductors and we also mentioned that there could be an increase in demand of the latter since it is an economical material.
But this is not the only reason why aluminium conductors are being used more and more in installations. The theft of copper has also increased worldwide. Unfortunately, the international trade of copper makes it easy to sell it which means this material is an interesting target for thieves. As mentioned before, aluminium is a different story since it is not as expensive.
The solution to the problem of connecting aluminium conductors – that are quite rigid- to a Gen Set was also mentioned on our previous post. Since then, It has been accepted by our customers positively due to the fact that it has an easier connection between the Gen set and the electrical connection giving the possibility of different accesses and considerable room to connect any kind of conductor either copper or aluminium.

After these 2 years and as we stated on our previous post we can see that there are more installations which use aluminium conductors in stead of the traditional copper ones.
If we compare figures from last year, demand for these machines has tripled this year.
