From the London Olympics to Rio de Janeiro 2016
Inmesol has just renewed for another season its commitment to sponsor Miguel Ángel Clemente Solano, member of the Spanish adapted cycling team and bronze medal winner at the London Olympic Games. He achieved this latter triumph, the crowning point of a year of well-earned victories, under the sponsorship of our company.
Miguel Ángel Clemente, a top-ranking sportsman in tandem cycling, suffers from retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a degenerative eye disease affecting the retina. This means that he always needs to have someone in attendance at his daily training sessions and at the events and competitions in which he participates. His unflagging desire to keep doing better, a value Inmesol shares as a driving force in our company’s activities, is one of the main reasons why we continue giving our support to his personal and professional project.
After the London Olympics, a new season has now begun for sportsmen and sportswomen. This includes reopening the point system which will decide whether or not they will participate in the World Championships (in which Clemente won the silver medal in 2011) and in the coming Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Miguel Ángel Clemente will be tackling the latest calendar of para-cycling trials with a new guide, a new medical team and new trainer.
Good luck, Miguel Ángel!
