Increased functionality and a noticeable improvement in the user experience
The genset versions that include the DSE6010MKII or DSE6020MKII electronic control units as standard receive get a significant improvement thanks to the DSE6110MKII and DSE6120MKII control units.
These new versions not only add new functionalities, which increase the gensets’ control possibilities, but also notably improve the user experience when controlling, manoeuvring, and programming the set. The implementation of a design that increases the speed or readability of the texts, different features, and a programming very similar to those of the DSE7310 and 20 MKII control units incorporated as standard in the larger power sets has helped to this improvement.
Next, we will highlight more advantages this unit has to offer over the previous version:
Status and error messages are displayed in text instead of icons
The display texts are available in different languages.
This has the purpose of making it easier and faster to quickly identify the genset status and the causes of possible breakdowns.
The control unit’s event log stores up to the last 100 events
Earlier versions were limited to the last 50. The event log has doubled, significantly expanding the logged information to 100 events.
«Data logging»
These control units have the option to record the evolution of the genset’s operating parameters. This makes it possible to display information such as the power evolution or other measured values, like the mains voltage recorded in the genset during a given period, graphically or in editable tables.
«DSE Net» for the connection of expansion modules
These control units can connect expansion modules such as the DSE2157 (8 programmable output relays), DSE2130 (8 programmable inputs) and DSE2548 (a display with 8 programmable LEDs). Up to 3 units of each module type can be connected with a maximum installation distance of 1000 meters.
The expansion modules significantly extend the possibilities of adapting the operation of the generator sets to the different current applications.
Other important advantages:
- Sleep Mode.
- Low load alarm.
- Coolant temperature pre-alarm.
- Option to inhibit start-up by external signal during specific periods.
- Programmable pages on the display with different information about the genset.
- More interaction options with the electronic motors ECU.
- Support for other CAN instrumentation (transmit up to 5, receive up to 30).
- UL and CSA certified.
- Compatible with Tier4f motors.
Another outstanding advantage is that these new control units have the same physical size and the same connections as the old control units. This makes it very simple to replace the units and simplifies the upgrade to the 61XX control unit, while benefiting from all the advantages they offer.
The new DSE6120MKII control unit is technologically similar to the most advanced and powerful control unit versions available on the market, such as the DSE7320MKII.
